Åre is a locality and one of the leading Scandinavian ski resorts situated in Åre Municipality, Jämtland County, Sweden with 3,200 inhabitants in 2018. It is, however, not the seat of the municipality, which is Järpen.

Hemavan is a locality situated in Storuman Municipality, Västerbotten County, Sweden with 222 inhabitants in 2010. It is located on European route E12. During the winter months, Hemavan caters to many tourists.
